Can't update to latest version

I disabled the update prompt at the top right corner (I thought temporarily) however when I go to Help > Check for Updates, it says I have the latest version (8.0.3) but I want the version I was getting the prompt for, 9.

How do I get it to actually update?

Doesn't reinstalling it remove all of my settings? I'm trying to avoid that. Is there no way to update?

Your settings will be preserved (unless you delete them yourself). On first launch you will be prompted to import them
