IDEA mentioned in Fowler's new book
Hi all,
I just started reading the new book by Martin Fowler, Patterns of
Enterprise Application Architecture, when I ran across this in his
preface, "I relied on... IntelliJ's wonderful Idea-- the first IDE
that's excited me since Smalltalk." It sure is nice to see Idea
mentioned like that.
Cheers,
Jon

IntelliJ Idea
This is a fully fledged IDE whose abilities go far beyond refactoring. I
think they have succeeded in really moving forward the state of the art for
IDEs. Suffice to say that when I use IntelliJ I almost don't miss Smalltalk
any more :)

"... I think they have succeeded in really moving forward the state of the
art for IDEs. ..."
Couldn't agree more.

PS:
Jetbrains, someone from the marketing team could ask Martin Fowler if you
can use this quote in your marketing.
BTW, a really good book in fact.
