815: Problem starting up
I just installed Aurora 815 (I tried both the ZIP patch and the installer) and tried to start it up, but all that happens is that the console comes up, a single line ("------- IDEA STARTED -
") is written into the log, and the CPU goes up to near 100% and stays there for ever.
Anybody else experiencing something like it? Or did I just miss something somewhere, a wrong setting maybe?
Please advise,
Jens

Never mind, I uninstalled and re-installed, and it works now. The only thing I did different (I think) was to not import my Ariadna settings this time. Could that have made the difference?

Same here. I imported the settings and experienced the same issue. There were a lot of exceptions being thrown in the console (Sorry, I didn't save them).
After doing a clean re-install of 815, everything was fine for me as well!

Importing the settings got the last opened project as well, and IDEA failed
to open it, since it had different format.
I got the same problem, but it went away after restarting IDEA (next time it
started without a project, prompting me to create one).

Hmm, maybe I DO have a different problem. I tried to start up 0815 again this morning and it again hung itself. However, there were NO messages displayed either in the console or the log (do I need to change the default log4j settings in any way?)
Unfortunately, today the problem did not even go away after a reinstall. Well, I seem to be having to go back to 3.0.4 once more, since I need the additional CVS commands.
Other than that though, good job on 815; while it was running yesterday, everything worked nicely for me.
Best regards,
Jens
