hmmm does the Shift-End, Del combination really need a shortcut? if you assign shortcuts even for things that need 2 key strokes you will soon find only combinations like Ctrl-Shift-Alt-F8 are left. and how to remember the difference between that and the "simple" Ctrl-Alt-F8? :)
take as an example the override superclass method (ctrl+O). it creates a function with a very long comment after the call to the superclass implementation ("//To change body of overridden methods use File | Settings | File Templates."). ShiftEndDel leaves me with a scrolled window (since clicking the End scrolls to the end of the line). Emacs had a shortcut to this ( i think it was ctrl+Y). in fact, i think Emacs mappings (two phase mapping) would be much better for IntelliJ since there are tons of editing functions of which some don't even appear in the menubar.
1. tools->macros->start recording 2. "Shift-Down", "Shift-home", "Del", "Enter", "Up", "end" 3. tools->macros->end recording 4. name the macro 5. preferences->keymap set shortcut for the saved macro
i bet step 2 can be done in many other, possibly better, ways...

I used to ship a plugin (SmartCopyPlugin) that had this feature and a few other handy ones (delete to start-of-line, cut-append, copy-append, etc), but I've EOL'ed it. You might still find a copy on the Wiki somewhere.
