After Webstorm 6 upgrade, inspection hints do not display
I have native inspection and JSHint enabled. Both show the code highlighters and the right-hand indicators in yellow and red as always. Clicking a right-hand indicator navigates to the location as expected.
However, since I upgraded to Webstorm 6 (uninstall/reinstall, import settings), I no longer get the popup/tooltips when I hover over any indicator. The cursor does not change to the hand cursor.
It must be a setting, but I have combed through the settings several times now and searched google and this forum, without getting any suggestions.

can you try invalidating caches (File | Invalidate Caches)? Also, please, can you attach your settings?

Thanks for the response, Elena.
I invalidated my caches and restarted, but the behavior did not change, still no text descriptions on hover over any of the indicators.
I have attached an export of all my settings. Thanks again for your help!

works fine for me using your settings... Please, try the following:
- shut down WebStorm
- delete ~\.WebStorm6\config and ~\.WebStorm6\system folders
- start WebStorm, import your settings
does the problem persist?

also, a screenshot that shows up your problem might be helpful...
I deleted those folders and imporrted my settings with no change in behavior.
I also checked before importing settings, but no joy.
It would be difficult to show the issue in a screenshot, since the problem is an absence of a behavior. I notice that I have absolutely no popup tooltips of any kind.
I think I will try a clean uninstall / reinstall next.

I did a full uninstall, manual delete, reboot, re-install WS 6.0.1, using all defaults, chose no settings import, and I still experience the same issue. To restate that issue, I have no hand cursors or popup tooltips anywhere in the entire IDE, including tool icons on the toolbar, but most critically, no inspection hints from the problem indicators.
I re-installed webstorm 5.0.4, and verified that I have that functionality in that version. I attached a screenshot showing the correct behavor in WS 5. The popup text in that screenshot does not happen in my Webstorm 6 install.
I am pretty clear it is not settings after this process. Oh, I did try setting the tooltip dipslay time to zero, with no change.
I am back in operation under 5.0.4, but there are several features in 6.x that I would really enjoy, so any additonal help in solving this problem will be welcome.
