Project Configuration Advice

I'm not too sure about a couple of things. Setting up a new project implies that the location for the project is just that - a location for the project. For example, I created a project in c:\WebProjects. However, I could not seem to open the source files that were in a directory under c:\inetpub\wwwroot. Here is the first question:

  1. Should the source PHP files be in a folder below the PHPStorm project? In my case, I created another project in c:\inetpub\wwwroot and this seemed to work. However, I would just like clarification regarding the relationship between the PHPStorm project and the source files when the source files are running against a local server.
  2. When setting the Run/Debug Configuration for the Start URL, when I specified a "custom web path", PHPStorm seemed to be adding my target folder name twice. Do you know why this might be happening?

Many thanks.

Gazley, try Open Directory instead of using create project wizard. You can simply open needed directory and start editing your files. For this directory PhpStorm will create automatically project files and place them to this folder (you will see new folder .idea). It is the most convenient way to create new project with PhpStorm (IMHO).

P.S. Guuuuys!!! I posted this post with Opera 10.60.3445! Now forum works in Opera too!
