Sharing Templates / Code Styles
Hi,
i'm looking for an easy way to share Templates and Code Styles. I found a Post from 2007: https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/206203629-Sharing-IDEA-Configuration-with-the-team?input_string=Sharing%20Templates%20%2F%20Code%20Styles
Is this still the best practise? I know there is a new function since 2007 "Settings Repository" but this does not care about the Templates.
Whats your way to share it across the Team with more than 30 Projects?

Hello,
Settings Repository shares your custom Live Templates too, just checked this.
For me it is extremely useful as I can always just send a link to GitHub repo where all the settings are reside and fetch them from there to any location.
Hi,
sorry but i don't want to share Live templates. I want to share my File and Code Templates and they are not getting exported via the Settings Repository. Is there another way than export them as jar?
Just like Tobias Tschech I want to share my File and Code Templates via our settings repository. This does not work..
File and Code Templates are now can be saved with a project: please check that you're using e.g. "Default" scheme (not project):
If that's true - please report at http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA#newissue=yes (https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-174516 - related issue)
Thank you Dmitry Tronin, I reported it: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-184753
