PyCharm or IntelliJ?
Hi all, just a quick question. I am a PyCharm user with a license that has recently expired (The license expired around the middle of November).
I am wondering whether I should renew with a PyCharm license or an Intellij license. I have been doing a fair bit of personal work on Scala lately
and thus it would be nice to have access to the features of IntelliJ Ultimate while also retaining the Python features of PyCharm.
If I purchase an Intellij license can I rely on JetBrains to ensure that the Python plugin for Intellij will generally provide the same features
as PyCharm?
Thanks
Adam

Hello Adam,
The Python plugin is built from the same codebase as PyCharm, so it will
provide the same functionality. The main difference is the project configuration
UI, which is, and will remain, different between IntelliJ and PyCharm.

Python and Ruby all work great within IntelliJ.
I ended up buying separate copies of each, but that has to do more with the way I like working and the projects I am working on.
