Clion on RedHat 5.4 linux

I was trying to run Clion on Redhat 5.4.  I am getting the following error:

./../jre/jre/bin/java: symbol lookup error: /home/user/clion/jre/jre/lib/amd64/libfontmanager.so: undefined symbol: FT_Library_SetLcdFilter

google doesnt have much on this.

Any idea how to fix this?

Hi Rich.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Please try using JDK build from the issue: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-151619. It might also help for your case. You will just need to replace content of jre folder in the CLion product folder with the bundle content.

Anna,

Thanks for the quick response.  I tried that, and moved on the next step.  I am getting the following when I run Clion:

FATAL: kernel too old
FATAL: kernel too old
[ 192726]   WARN - om.intellij.util.ProfilingUtil - Profiling agent is not enabled. Add -agentlib:yjpagent to idea.vmoptions if necessary to profile IDEA.
[ 204568]   WARN - ConfigurableExtensionPointUtil - ignore deprecated groupId: editor for id: editor.preferences.import

FATAL: kernel too old
FATAL: kernel too old

It seems the  internal cmake wont run on RH 5.4
