[ANN] JFormDesigner Plugin Early Access
Hello,
an Early Access release of the JFormDesigner plug-in for
IntelliJ IDEA 5.0 and later is available now.
JFormDesigner is an innovative GUI designer for
Java Swing user interfaces. Its outstanding support
for JGoodies FormLayout, Clearthought's TableLayout
and GridBagLayout makes it easy to create
professional looking forms.
See: http://www.jformdesigner.com/idea/
Use the IntelliJ IDEA Plugin Manager to download and install it.
Feedback is highly appreciated.
Enjoy!

Hi,
I really like it :).
Seems to work until now... Just some small quirks when changing the Look
and Feels...

Yes, currently you should not use the look and feel "IDEA (4.5 default)" for IDEA. Seems that this look and feel is based on the Metal look and feel, which uses a global variable for the theme and JFormDesigner sets the Metal theme to Ocean. Therefore the IDE partly appears in Java 5 Ocean look...

Thank you :). This is what I was always looking for :).
A forum or a mail list/newsgroup for the feedback would be by the community also highly appreciated :).
Thanks in advance,
Ahmed.

I have the same problem here.
There is something messed up with the look and feels... But I am sure it
will be fixed in the next EAP ;).

Thanks for reporting. I'm already working on this bug.
There is a problem in the class loader that JFormDesigner uses to load look and feel UI classes. Unfortunately it must be a global class loader registered in UIManager...
The same error message occurs if the "SQL Query Plugin" is installed (failed to load ... "com.kiwisoft.utils.gui.TristateBoxUI").
I'll publish a fix soon.
