Force File Status Refresh

Hello Steven,

Is there a way to update each file's status in a project on project
initialization?

It's refreshed automatically. The entire project is marked as dirty through
VcsDirtyScopeManager on startup, so your ChangeProvider will be called with
a scope containing all roots under your VCS.
