Clearcase : checkin error
Permanently deleted user
Created
When a checkin processus is in progress and you decided to stop it by clicking on the X (rigth top corner of the window), closing the window do not stop the checkin processus.
If you are talking about the Check In Project action I believe this is related to http://www.intellij.net/tracker/idea/viewSCR?publicId=9488 Are we talking about the Progress Dialog? I would assume that hitting cancel or closing the window should cancel the checkin. Right Mike?
its quite dangerous to cancel once you decide to checkin using the plugin . you could lose ur changes aswell. files that need merges will not be checked in. ull have to do the merge and checkin.rest will go thru... some times for complicated checkins i just use clearcase explorer to find check outs. u can safely add the new files.
Files that need merge do not get checked in. They get reported as error and you have to manually check them in through the cc explorer or do a version tree and merge them like that. Maybe complex check ins are a smell of too complex an unit of work ;)
