Android SDK Home not detected - Bug

I'm using IntelliJ IDEA 15.0.2, Build #UI-143.1184 and I'm having problems. I have not changed anything but this release does not seem to detect my Android SDK home. Previously, when using IntelliJ IDEA 14, I was able to develop Android applications, but in the new release, I'm getting the following message when I select the Android SDK home: The selected directory is not a valid home for Android SDK. See attached screenshot.

What platforms and tools do you have installed in this folder?

Attach a screenshot from Android SDK Manager.

See also https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-148438 . Does it help if you add write permissions to the SDK folder?

I normally keep my Android Tools up to date, and I have everything installed from Android 2.2 to 6.0 and Android SDK Build-tools 17 to 24.4.1. Also note that, I tested with Android Studio, and it does not face the same problem, it detects the Android SDK home.
