alt+f1 Project view does not work in 106.330

If I am working in an editor and press alt+F1 -> Project view then IDEA does nothing most of the time. In the first minutes it shows the file in the tree. After a while the action does not work anymore, I can't see any exceptions being thrown or errors in the log file.

Is there any workaround available?

This had been driving me crazy, but thankfully it looks like it's fixed in
the new 106.447 EAP.
