Find File not working

Answered

For some reason I cannot use Find File (Ctrl-Sh-N) to find .sh (bash) files. A file that is present, is not shown. When I use Search Everywhere (Shift-Shift), I can see the file under Files. Bash is included in the filter.
I can find any other file I want. I must have excluded .sh, but I don't know how.

(Using 14.1 141.177)

What are you filter settings for find file?

Please try File | Invalidate Caches | Invalidate and Restart.

As I said in my post: Bash (and everything else) is incuded in the filter.

I know the Invalidate Caches option, but I don't want to use that, it wipes out everything, including things I want to keep.
Is there not a better solution?

Hello,

I am facing the same problem today, I have a file in my project and I am 100% sure the name is correct, when I do Ctrl + shift + N I can't find my file although it does exist.

What is the solution to this problem please ?

Hello Sachemlal

Can you please attach a screenshot showing the problem and collect diagnostic data? (Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data)

For my work environment, it seems to be working fine in 2020.3 version from https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download.

The files can be uploaded at https://uploads.jetbrains.com . (do not forget to specify the UploadID)

Hello Egor Klepikov,
It's too late now because I invalidated the cache to resolve the problem at that time, hope I wont face the same problem another time ...
