Maia tasks plugin - what is it?

I was intrigued by the tasks/context feature in Maia and thought it
was supposed to be something similar to MyLyn for Eclipse.

Can anyone explain what this feature is supposed to do and how it can
increase my productivity.

I also noticed there is a Jira connection in its settings, will other
bug trackers be supported too?

Not exactly. It is not going to be a rich bagtracking client. Also, user
activity tracking/analyzing and ui focusing feature is not the main target
(but it can be implemented later).

Currently it just allows you to have several working contexts (possibly
associated with bugtracking issues) and switch between them easily.
A context includes your open editors, project view state, run
configurations, breakpoints etc.
