"Updating Modified Files"

I'm slowly losing my mind here. I have a directory of Javascript that is being deleted and reloaded by a Javascript build system - this happens often throughout the day. With that said, my IDE is deliberate in "updating modified files" everytime the change is detected.

How can I turn this off?! I tried exclude folders under compiler. I tried ignore folder...

Please help...

Mark this directory as excluded in Project Structure | Modules | ]]>
| Paths.

And by the way, if you upgrade to IDEA 8.1 EAP, the "updating modified files"
will be several times faster.
