6.0.2 a lot slower to open/close projects
I'm just going back to 6.0.2 (having used 5.1.2 for some weeks), and it appears it takes a long time to open a (not that big, 87 java files, although there are a lot of used libraries) project, or close it.
Looking at idea.log, i see :
all the jarFileInfo opening, the last one being
2006-11-16 10:48:12,341 INFO - enapi.vfs.impl.jar.JarFileInfo - Opening zip-file C:\Program Files\HSBC\IBM\RAD\runtimes\base_v51\lib\j2ee.jar...
2006-11-16 10:48:13,052 INFO - lij.localVcs.common.CommonLVCS - enter: load()
2006-11-16 10:50:12,133 INFO - nfig.impl.AntConfigurationImpl - Start up
It seems to take 2 minutes to open the CommonLVCS, is this expected ?
Do you want me to take a cpu snapshot ?
(during those 2 minutes, CPU usage is 100% for IDEA)

Yes, please take a CPU snapshot and file a JIRA issue with the snapshot attached.

This looks like the same issue with antiviral software slowingdown file operations.
wouldn't it happen also with IDEA 5.1 then ?
Thibaut wrote:
Depends. IDEA5 and IDEA6 use different 'home' folders where cache and
stuff is stored. So if antivir sw is instructed to skip IDEA5' home
folder it may still slow down file operations in IDEA6' home folder.
Just FYI.
