Easily ignore files with the new VCS UI?
Hi!
In the "classic" VCS UI, before commiting, you could unselect files
(they appeared striked). Then, next time you commit, they would stay in
this state. That made it easy to always ignore certain files that you
changed but don't want to commit.
Now with the new system ("Changes"), I didn't find a way to do that. Is
there something I missed? It's annoying to have to uncheck the sames
files again and again :)
Thank you for your help!

Move them in separate changelist.

hmmmmmm
Yeah I guess :)
Maybe there could be by default when you create a project a changelist
named "Ignore" or "Do not commit".
Thanks in any case !

That is a good idea. I just ran into a similar problem.

Doesn't the latest build do this?
Every time I commit a changelist and un-tick some of the files, it asks me whether I want to move them to a separate change list which can then be ignored.
Do you mean 5383? I am on 5380 due to a Struts config compile bug.

Hello Norris,
This feature was added quite a long time ago and is present in both 5383
and 5380.
You may have seen this dialog once and checked "Don't show this again". :)
