5350: Great on Windows, unusable on OS X
#5350 is one of the best builds released this cycle... as long as you're on windows. Everything works reasonably fine (everything I use, anyway), and it's pretty fast. There are exceptions here and there, of course, but nothing that blocks me from working.
Things aren't so dandy on OSX, however... for starters, an exception pops up every time I try to import a class, and more exceptions follow regularly, even when I'm not doing anything. Those exceptions were submitted to the tracker, of course, but I just wanted to know if I'm the only one seeing this.

Could you provide a link to exception on importing the class? I wonder what could go wrong with this action on a specific platform.
IDEA just thanks me for submitting the report, and doesn't show any URL, but I've just triggered the bug again (it happens -every- time I try to import a class):

Since it's not our job to look at (our own) exception reports, we don't get any links any more and don't even get notified about exceptions that have been fixed or cannot be reproduced/fixed. Everything is so much better now. ]]>
I have been using 5350 on OS X since it was released and I found it works fine. I am using it all day long instead of the current release version.
sigh forget the "great on windows" part...

it's a shame that your life is so much easier than the life of Jetbrains' poor developers. To stop things from being so miserable for us, something has to be made at least to inform the user his bug cannot be reproduced.

Weird... If you could make a test case where this can be reproduced, I promise, I'll do anything I can to fix it tomorrow. (I know it's Saturday, but still, I'm gonna have free OSX machine of Max:))
Really weird, Eugene. After some some investigation, I think it's somehow related to some of my settings. If I remove my ~/Library/Preferences/IntelliJIDEA60 folder and start fresh, the error doesn't happen -- but as I slowly start recreating them, it will happen again.
I couldn't figure out which specific setting causes the bug, but I'm attaching an archive with my preferences folder, in the hope that it will be useful for you. Best luck finding this bug!
P.S.: it seems to be something related to inspection settings -- I just noticed that the attached file was my last attempt at isolating the bug, where all but inspection settings are at the default.
