"Plugins and Open API
Ability for inspection tool to inspect non-java files"
Done as I know...
This is implemented, has been for a couple of months. You'll note that (almost) all applicable IG inspections work in JSP files now, and that properties files have inspections. Further inspections over other languages will undoubtedly be available from third-party vendors over time, or you can writer your own.
I was disappointed about that JUnit one didn't make the cut as well.

Hi Dave,
>> Ability for inspection tool to inspect non-java files.
That one is of particular interest to me as I'm the developer of GroovyJ, the Groovy integration for IDEA. So yes, I'll write my own, well, only when I've nailed down Groovy's PSI...
Let's see what JetBrains tell us regarding all of the above features. Perhaps a comprise would be to schedule them for, say IDEA 5.1?

Franck

Isn't language API that, which haven't been originally planned is a good
enough replacement for those you've listed?

Hi Maxim,
Don't get me wrong, the language API is a most welcome addition. I remember that it emerged from long standing ITN Tracker requests for integrating JavaScript, other languages (XML, Jython, etc) and Fabrique.
Now, all I'd like to know is when we are likely to see the features that didn't make it into 5.0 added to IDEA.
Thanks
Franck
We do not have exact plans for next version yet. Let us finish with this
one first :)
