Officescan breaks idea.exe
Hello,
Under the device control logs for Trend Micro's Officescan we get entries when we try to run an update to code. The entry is as follows:
Device: Unhandled Policy
Accessed By: C:\Program Files\JetBrains\InteliJ IDEA 9.0\bin\idea.exe
Target: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe
Permissions: No Access
This is telling me that when you click Update for the code, idea.exe tries to access cmd.exe to do whatever to push the change to Perforce...Denied.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem and is there a workaround for this (without disabling device control in Officescan)?
Thanks in advance.

for interfacing with third party tools like Perforce or JBoss IDEA can
launch p4.exe / cmd.exe.

That part is understood. The problem is that a lot of viruses try to execute cmd.exe...Idea.exe is trying to do this, but is getting treated as virus activity by Trend Micro Officescan. It is odd that it is showing up in the device control log for Officescan...I disabled that function and will report back when testing is done.
