I guess he's talking about the final structure, the install is only 2 megs bigger. But the installed openapihelp.jar is 44 megs. :)

Note that IPP and IG add about 1.4 megs, last time I looked. I hope no one thinks of that as "bloat".

You took up THAT much space for bloatIG & bloatIPP?! Actually, it is more than worth its weight in bytes, and I'd let you get away with an order of magnitude more space. :)
IDEA increased by 46% from build 2013 to 2051! What the heck is making it so large? Isn't it zipped?
Well, the CVS integration seems to have grown to about 500 times its size (2.3KB -> 1193KB compressed). Didn't you have something to do with that Thomas?

I forgot the smiley (so don't take this serious please). Here it is: ;)
BTW, if IDEA only uses SSH1 and SSH2 for CVS, following Maverick files are not needed: maverick-sftp.jar sshtools-ant.jar sshtools-cipher.jar sshtools-scp.jar sshtools-sftp.jar sshtools-zlib.jar

Is there any chance, at least for EAP, that you could package this into smaller pieces?
Maybe even provide a patch zip file that only contains the files that actually changed, like the idea.jar file (only 14 MB) and the openapi.jar file (1.19 MB). I would be willing to bet that I am downloading 60-80% duplicate files every time. Higher if you consider the % of each modified jar that doesn't change.
Or perhaps you could put all of the Documentation into a separate download from the rest. Maybe the openAPI sources too.
That way we could play with the new features without a huge download file and then get the other stuff only when/if we need to.

BTW, it seem to be unusefull, becose i can't find any documented classes in
openapihelp.jar docs. It just empty javadoc stubs....

Hopefully the docs are back...
