Pallada Release Date
I'm sure someone has asked this before, but my forum searches didn't yield any results.
My company is looking to upgrade all of our developers from IDEA 3.x to IDEA 4. One of the primary features we would like to see is Ant 1.6 support, as we have recently reworked our build to make heavy use of Ant 1.6 features. Since Ant 1.6 support is only available in Pallada, we will most likely be waiting until this support is included in the official release before upgrading.
Could you please provide me with a general estimate of when we can expect a Pallada official release (IDEA 4.1, etc.)?

Hello Jeremy,
Now we plan to release Pallada at some time in June. Most probably - the middle of June.

An out of topic question to which the answer is probably "please
email sales@intellij.com" but I'd figure I'd ask anyways (I'll
blame the lack of EAP builds):
If we have 4.0 licenses that were purchased after Oct.15, 2003
when the deal was "Buy IDEA 3.0 now, upgrade to 4.0 for free
when it comes out", will those licenses work with 4.1?
Thanks,
Vince.
4.1 is supposed to be a free upgrade from 4.0 -- so if you already have 4.0 licenses, you have nothing to worry about.
Hello Marcus,
I confirm that upgrade to Pallada will be free for all 4.0 users, including all those who have upgraded from 3.0 to 4.0
