Structure Diff
http://www.intellij.net/tracker/idea/viewSCR?publicId=12535
As described in the above request, a structural diff has been
implemented. But I'll be damned if I can find it. Could JetBrains give a
quick description of this feature and how one would use it?
Thanks,
Gordon

AFAIK, the way it was implemented, you can do a diff between two methods or
fields selected in the Structure View for a file.
Although I do find this useful for manually refactoring nearly identical
methods, I don't think that it was implemented the way that the request was
described.
If I read the description and comments correctly, the requested
functionalily is to see a structural view within the diff of two
Packages/Interfaces/Classes or two versions of the same
Package/Interface/Class. Not to do a diff on items selected in the
Structure view.
Maybe the request should be reopened and implemented as requested.

Yes, that's the way I read the request as well. Like a CVS->Compare
with->Same Version but a structural diff instead of a textual diff.
It seems the request has been re-opened.
Ciao,

Hapeens to me too, but as the poster said, it's not a promptly reproducible situation...
