Would be really great if there was a way to get statistics on a project. Like Number of classes, number of code lines and so on. is there no way to get this today? Plugin maybe?
I think you'll have some ideas for Dave Griffith :) Please check thread "Announcing InspectionGadgets version 1.0" in jetbrains.intellij.plugins newsgroup.

I have a plugin (MetricsReloaded) that calculates all of these and about 60 more metrics, and displays them either in tabular form or graphically. It's not yet publicly available, but a beta version should be out by the end of the month, my work schedule permiting.

Wwooohooo, sounds great Dave ! And by the way, nice name for a plugin !!!!
Added a couple since then, mostly relating to Javadoc comments, and have made a fair amount of progress in general. Still planning on shipping middle of next month.

Dave, thanks for creating this. I've been waiting for some metrics tools for a while. (various RFEs ignored ;o)
Will you be posting a list of metrics you're implementing?
--pete
I've just posted a complete progress report, including list of currently implemented metrics, to the Plugins list.
--Dave Griffith
What is the link to the plugins list where I can find the list of
implemented metrics?
