SQL Console - execute single statement

Answered

Intellij 8.0.1 on XP
I guess that there is a simple way to do it, but I can't figure it out.
I have multiple SQL statements in the SQL Console. Ctrl+Enter executes
all statements. How I can execute single statement?

Hi Tom,

I assume you just want to execute the statement(s) in the current selection. Is that correct?
This is something I'm missing as well.

Can you create a JIRA ticket, and post the link here?

Thanks,
Taras

IMHO "Run current statement" (by cursor position) action would be more
convenient.
I think "Ctrl-Enter" shortcut could be assigned to this (and it could be
aware of selection, too), with something like "Ctrl-Alt-Enter" for running
all the statements.

Ctrl+Shift+Enter executes the statement where the cursor is. Selection is not necessary.

Don't you think the behaviour should be inverted?

Hello Dmitry,

Don't you think the behaviour should be inverted?

I don't mind.

Alexander.

Sorry for bumping this necro-thread, but on my remote development with Build #JBC-241.14494.240, built on March 28, 2024

Ctrl+Enter, Ctrl+Shift-Enter do not work, it just destroing string with operator. Should I open a support ticket ?

Sorry for the inconvenience. Could you please file a new bug report on our issue tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue?project=IDEA? This thread is pretty old, and it is more convenient to investigate in YouTrack than in a forum post. Thank you!
