Automatically selecting files in the project view

Is it possible in the project view to automatically select (scroll to) the
file you are currently editing? Very often there are operations I want to
perform in the same package, e.g. create a new class but I have not figured
out a way to open that package quickly. Currently, I just have to browse
through the directory structure manually to get to the file which is not
very convenient.
