how much can I trust a search for usages ?

this bug
http://www.intellij.net/tracker/idea/viewSCR?publicId=17631

is undermining my confidence in a usage search ... possibly the most
basic idea feature. still it hasn't been clasified.

I think it will become of greater importance when using modules, people
will more often define some of their own classes as libraries for some
projects.

I think probably the most basic IDEA feature is being able to edit text.

That said, I've noticed strangeness with Find Usages lately too. Does the "Derived classes" checkbox mean to search for usages of derived classes, or usages which are in the form of classes extending the selected class?

I meant the most basic feature that makes it unique ... well, that was
because that was what made me looong ago switch from JB to idea 1.0 ;)

the latter: usages in the form of classes extending the selected class

I think I've been having the same problems then. It will find some derived classes, but not others.
