I've seen this too but only for specific files and I don't know if it's repeatable across restarts. I'm not quite sure what triggers it but you're right, it's quite annoying when you get undo dialogs asking "Undo typing?"...

No, it's not a CVS thing. This is during normal editing.
I created a small new project and that didn't exhibit
the same behavior.
I installed in a new directory and set it to store
configurations and such in that directory, so it shouldn't
be picking up old caches.
Could you please submit a bug request?
