goto symbol dialog fails to come up

It is known problem. That dialog is a kind of progress dialog that causes
focus problems so goto symbol dialog fails to appear.

Yes, I'm also experiencing this (on W2K SP2). Mostly this occurs when I'm editting a JSP, but it sometimes occurs in Java files too.

My workaround is to do Ctrl-N followed by Ctrl-Shift-Alt-N immediately; this usually works.
