EAP Basic Question
Hi I have been using IntelliJ commercially for a while and love the product. Could someone explain what EAP (Early Access Program) is.
I presume its a beta version for developers to test run before being released officially?
Also what is Selena in relation to this?
Thanks for any info,

Hello not4google,
This is not really a beta version. The EAP program gives you access to weekly
builds of the version of IntelliJ IDEA currently in development. The EAP
builds undergo very little testing and can have many bugs, unfinished features
or other quality problems.
Selena is the codename for IntelliJ IDEA version 7, which is currently in
EAP.

Ok I see - I have registered and downloaded Selena and would like to test it out. It says that my license will expire in a month, is this test period limited for this time only?
Hello not4google,
We're publishing new EAP licenses every month, so you'll be able to continue
testing newer EAP builds up until the final release.
