JDK 5.0 Update 6
Permanently deleted user
Created
For those who've been experiencing the 5.0 jvm thread priority bug on Windows, JDK 5.0 update 6 has been released. It is supposed to address this specific problem among other things.
I tried this but IntelliJ still fires up with the default JDK (1.5.0_04) And idea on what I am doing wrong? I set an environment variable IDEA_JDK to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_06
Thanks

oh, but do you know how to run IDEA with other JDK than the buildin JDK?
For IDEA 5.0, simply set the environment variable IDEA_SDK to
point to your preferred JDK.
Vince.
Hello Vincent,
Not IDEA_SDK, but IDEA_JDK.

Ah! I'll blame it on the lack of coffee..
Thanks for the correction.

support this.
Idea has to run with this update. It removes all periodic delays happend on my home machine. No more this idiotic pauses during garbage collecting...
If you didn't do this yet, do it immediately :)
P.s.: this is not really the case when Idea runs on the machine having 2 & more CPUs/cores
