Build WAR on Frame Deactivation
Just made the mistake of trying out the "build war on frame
deactivation" feature of the web-modules.
Whilst this sounds like a neat idea, IDEA itself gives itself focus the
moment it starts building ( and bringing itself to the front ), thus
making why you deactivated the frame immpossible to do, if you click
back IDEA goes "hey, he deactivated again" and waits till the current
war build is done, then starts again... endless cycle of pain ;)

Basically it's part of the "Idea steals focus".
You leave Idea, it builds. The build finishes and Idea steals focus.

Yes, exactly.
Workaround I know for Windows is to use utility like TweakUI to set 'Prevent applications from stealing focus' option.
Then IDEA will just flash the taskbar icon when build completes.
