How to Search php manual in phpStorm

You will need to use External Tools functionality (Settings | External Tools).

The general idea is:

• Create new externl tools entry (see last comment on how to search in local .chm file : http://devnet.jetbrains.com/message/5469805#5469805 ) -- or build whatever command you need
• Once such entry created, Apply changes
• "Settings | Keymap" -- find your recently created external tools entry (should be under "External Tools" branch) and assign any shortcut you want.

Now .. you can make a selection in text, press that shortcut and it will execute your command.
