Second Find in Path selects a different scope

PHPStorm 107.224, OSX 10.6.7.

When I run one find in path with a Whole Project scope, and I do not open a file from the resulting find list, then I run a second find in path, my scope automatically changes to 'directory'.  I, personally, don't find this very useful, and it adds a keystroke to switch the scope back to Whole Project.  

Is there a way to turn off this nicety that I haven't stumbled upon?
