Support for patch-based upgrades also for major versions

Answered

Your switch to the subscription model means we basically shouldn't care anymore about major versions as features get rolled out continuously. In that sense, patch-based upgrades should be supported for all updates, no matter if you label them a major one (like 2016.2) or a minor one (like 2016.1.3).

I find it very frustrating to download a complete version, index everything again, having duplicate setting folders, etc. This just doesn't make sense in a subscription-based model. Please fix it now!

Hhhm, no update since 2013. So you are not really working on it...

We understand the frustration from manual updates and we do plan to address this limitation eventually. Please don't worry and stay tuned for the future updates.
