Can't renew educational license.

My Jetbrains educational license (which was activated through GitHub), and my GitHub student license had expired. I applied for new GitHub student license and it got approved. But, when I try to reactivate jetbrains with GitHub, it says “This GitHub account has already been used to apply. Please check your inbox for an invitation email with instructions on how to proceed”. I have tried several email addresses and i am getting the same error again and again.

Thank you for your request. Please excuse the delay in getting back to you. There was a kind of technical glitch in the system, that could prevent you from a renewal of your student subscription. We fixed everything and now I can recommend you to apply again via your JetBrains account clicking the dedicated link Renew my Education Pack and filling out the form with the option GitHub, if you had already confirmed your current eligibility and status there.

Go to your account. You should see a “renew license” option there on your expired student license. Click on it and renew you license.

I have the same problem: the application and error look identical to the original post. I believe I have used the educational license in the past, however, I have no option to renew it in my account settings. I also have not received any relevant emails.

I'm currently going through this same problem. Was using IntelliJ for a program I was in the middle of coding. Update had come so I restarted the app and now I can't access anything. I have the same screen as Karankmohindroo showing for my account.
I got the Student plan in September of 2024, had activated it as well. But after the update this morning I had to relink my account for some odd reason.
Yeah, same problem for me. After renewing the education pack license I’ received that my licence was renewed but I can’t see that in my subscription list

This information will help me to see what was going wrong. As a general advice I can recommend you to log in to your JetBrains account using all possible email addresses that could be used in the process of application and creation of your JetBrains account.

I figured out my problem.
I hadn't realized that I didn't update my original account email to my University email. Issue is taken care of. Appreciate the help regardless.

educational license using official documents. This policy change was implemented to streamline the verification process and ensure a more secure and efficient system for all applicants. To obtain a free subscription, you may apply using any one of the following:
• An email address associated with your educational institution, for example, ijs@mit.edu (mailto:ijs@mit.edu).
• Your ISIC/ITIC membership: You can attach a scanned copy of your ISIC/ITIC card to your application.
• Your GitHub account: If you have a GitHub Student Developer Pack, you can use the Authorize with GitHub option to claim a free subscription.
You can apply for a renewal via your JetBrains account, clicking the dedicated link Renew my Education pack, filling out the form and submitting it.
After a successful submission of the form you should get our notification.
You can be verified as a student on GitHub and ISIC websites providing your official documents without getting your student email address.

Please send me any officially issued document with the confirmation of your student status in 2025/2026 academic year. Please send me also a copy of your local ID with your full name (all sensitive information can be blurred)and a copy of your stay permit in Sri Lanka. Please send your document in the PDF format. Should be the first one I even got an email invitation to renew, although using that email to renew gives the same error.
