Cannot open jupyter notebook with pycharm in a WSL environment

I have a Conda environment installed in my WSL and would like to use this env to open a project which also in the WSL. I had added the python interpreter from the conda env as the project interpreter. However, I cannot seem to open the .ipynb files. Clicking on them does nothing.  Does anyone know what the problem might be?
