Can't install, import or change JDK version

Whenever I try to install, import from my files or just select an another version of a JDK, Intellij doesn't want to switch it and always shows and uses JDK 21. I've tried uninstalling it, although it didn't work.

Hi,

Possible workarounds:

  • File | Invalidate Caches → check first three boxes → Invalidate & Restart
  • Reset IDE settings to defaults (a backup copy will be created in the process): File | Manage IDE Settings | Restore Default Settings
  • Temporarily disable all of the non-bundled plugins and restart the IDE: File | Settings | Plugins | ⚙ | Disable all downloaded plugins
