Distraction Free Mode - Peek Toolbar

Answered

Hi! I've recently started using distraction-free mode. I really enjoy it! I discovered that I can peek left and right panes by clicking cmd twice and holding.  I was wondering, is there any similar shortcut for the toolbar, so that I can switch branches, choose configuration etc? I appreciate your help!

In the Distraction Free mode, it's not possible to turn off main tool window bar.

## Workaround

1. Use normal mode

2. Go to “View | Appearance | Status bar” to disable the status bar

3. Double-click on your editor tab header to make tab fill the entire IDE window

4. Assign a shortcut to turn the main toolbar on/off:

  • `Shift+Shift` and search for “View | Appearance Toolbar”
  • `Alt+Enter` to assign a shortcut

"Distraction Free Mode - Peek Toolbar" allows you to focus by hiding most UI elements while keeping a small toolbar visible. It helps in writing or reading without unnecessary distractions.
