Local changes and file previews during commit are missing in 2025.1
Answered
I can't find the options to re-enable them.
Being able to see which files are changed at a glance, and then visually go through the changes during commit are essential steps in the workflow. I can't believe you'd remove such a useful feature of your tools.

Hi,
Please see: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IJPL-177161/Modal-commit-moved-to-a-separate-plugin-in-2025.1-Discussion
Modal commit exists in 2025.1 as a plugin.
If you are having difficulties with enabling non-modal, please check
Dino Letic But you admitted yourself that that plugin will no longer be receiving updates or support.
So if you're dropping support for one of your most useful features, I might as well stay with 2024.3.5 and use the perpetual fallback, right?
I can not find In Settings | Advanced Settings, have "Use modal commit interface" enabled

⌘ + ,orCtrl + Alt + S) > Plugins. If yes, there should be an option available for enabling the modal commit interface - Settings (
⌘ + ,orCtrl + Alt + S) > Advanced Settings | Version Control | Use modal commit interface for Git and Mercurial.
