WebStorm keeps freezing
I am using WebStorm for a considerably big repo and it keeps freezing while indexing. It takes up most of the CPU and slows down my machine. I have allocated more memory to it and removed a lot of plugins I don't need. Just kept the basic ones. But it still doesn't help. It works fine for some time until it has to index (either startup, branch switch or running yarn) and then it goes crazy and it stays like that for hours sometimes becoming unresponsive.
I understand that WebStorm uses index to speedup search but that should come at a cost of usability. We have had a license for 2021 version and it works fine. We are in the process of upgrading the license to latest version but it seems the newer versions are worst than versions which are 4 years older.

Please try profiling the indexing per instructions in https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241235-Reporting-performance-problems, Profiling Slow Indexing section, and share the captured snapshot along with the IDE logs (these can be collected with the Help > Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data menu action) in a new youtrack ticket so we can investigate your problem more thoroughly.
