Keyboard navigation of editors tabs disabled

Answered

On my new install of Fedora 42 using KDE Plasma, I can no longer control the editor tabs using the keyboard. These options are greyed out in the Windows/Editor tabs menu: Select next tab, Select previous tab, Keep tab open, and more. Keyboard shortcuts have no effect. I've deselected the “Support screen readers” option. In other applications, like Brave, tab navigation using the keyboard works.

Please advice!

Hi, sorry for the long silence.

The actions are indeed greyed out in the main menu, but for me they still work if I use the left Alt + Left/Right - and do not work with right Alt. Could you please confirm you observe the same?

What is your keyboard layout (input method) in the OS and what keymap do you have selected in IDE Settings | Keymap?

I have a copy of the KDE keymap. Now I see that I've created shortcuts for the wrong “Select Next/Prev Tab” options. There are shortcuts for the “multi-editor file”, and also another set of shortcuts for the same thing under Windows/Editor tabs. I had created shortcuts for the multi-editor file (which I don't even know what it is). So now it works. Thanks for reaching out.
