All chat history disappeared from Juniе after IDEA was update to 2025.2 version

I was working on a complex task with Junie, and at some point I decided to update the IDEA version to 2025.2

After that I wanted to continue working with Junie, but I couldn't, because the entire chat history just disappeared... At first glance, this may not seem critical, because the md-files with responses are still available in scratches directory, and even in the .idea/workspace.xml I can see some information related to the disappeared chats. But what if I wanted to rollback some changes? I can't do this without having access to the chats in the interface...

And in any case, this is all very unexpected and inconvenient. I certainly don't expect this when paying for a subscription to IDEA and Junie...

Same here! I tried to import settings from the previous version but nothing changed.

Same. Updating IDEA versions is becoming very unattractive indeed. Almost every time something's broken.

Same here! All my important chats have gone!

It happened to me while updating from 2025.1 to 2025.2

The problem goes beyond that ...

When I log in with my JetBrains account, I expect the chats to be linked to my account. This means that when I log in on another machine with the same account, I should be able to continue a conversation that was started on another computer. However, it seems that everything is only stored locally. There is still a lot of room for improvement...

Do not upgrade to 2025.3 – you will lose everything again.

I'm really beginning to loathe JetBrains/IntelliJ/WebStorm for all the stupid **** they are pulling. Last month they charged me a bunch for AI tokens and chats that failed to respond because of a problem on THEIR end. Now I'm losing my entire chat history… WTF?! I'm so pissed I've spent years building up my workflow around WebStorm… Anyone new to JetBrains: RUN! Get out! It's gonna take me weeks to get fully operation with another IDE, but I hate the idea of paying them for treating their loyal customers like garbage.
