No option/button “Trial” anymore in 2026?
Answered
Hello
Yesterday I dowloaded the “idea-2025.3.1.1.win.zip” or “idea-2025.3.1.1.exe”. In both cases, when I launched the IDE, I was expected to have an option/button “Trial” but there was nothing.I tred a lot of thricks:
- I deleted from the AppData/Local, AppData/Roaming,
- I tried to use the email I was using the whole 2025
- I tried other emails I have, or no email at all
In 2026 there is no any more “30-day Ultimate subscription trial”? Is there any bug? The version is wrong?
Take a look at the screenshot
Kind regards

Hi there,
We allow one 30-day trial per major version.
Since 2025.3.1.1 belongs to the 2025.3 major version, could it be that you already activated and used a 2025.3 trial earlier?
Hello
Yes it seems that I have used it already last year, I guess.
You know I am thinking of buying a subscription for a year. Is there other payment method instead of giving the information of my card? I am afraid of online payments. Like sending the money to JetBrains by bank?
Thank you
Hi,
For personal subscriptions, the standard payment methods available online are credit card or PayPal. That said, additional local payment options may be available in some regions.
Please contact the JetBrains sales team for more information about the payment options that are available in your region.
Hi
Thank you for the information
I will contact with the sales team and I will see my options

I completely understand the concern regarding the absence of a trial option for IntelliJ in 2026. As someone who has utilized JetBrains products extensively, I believe access to trials is crucial for users to evaluate tools before committing. It seems this decision could limit new users who rely on trial experiences to assess whether the software aligns with their projects.

Hi,
Trials are still available in 2026, with one 30-day trial allowed per major version, as in previous years.
