My Pycharm opens and closes after a few seconds

I recently switched to Zorin OS Lite and decided to continue my Python course, so I wanted to reinstall PyCharm. It ran fine on Windows 10, but was a bit slow. However, when I installed it on my new operating system, it would open but then close immediately. What do i do?
Note: I am new in Pycharm.
