[minor UI] wrong datasource colors after update and not possible to change the colors

Answered

After updating to #IU-261.22158.277 via snap on Linux it changed the colors of all data sources and it is not possible to change the colors anymore when selecting “Custom…”.

Further in Project Files bar on the left the colors for diff datasources consoles are completely gone.

Using the datasource plugin for IntelliJ IDEA.

I am on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS x86_64.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

The issue is a fresh one and was reported to YouTrack already as https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/DBE-25767

You are welcome to follow the progress there. See this article if you are not familiar with our bug tracker.

In the meantime, you can use the provided workaround. Sorry for the inconvenience.

There are two separate issues mentioned in the top post of this thread:

Issue 1:

After updating to #IU-261.22158.277 via snap on Linux it changed the colors of all data sources

Issue 2:

and it is not possible to change the colors anymore when selecting “Custom…”.

You have linked to a ticket for the second issue. Is there an open ticket for the issue 1, which I consider much more serious? I have dozens of datasources, each with a custom color. As of the update, all of the custom colors are wrong, and most of the datasources use the same color, making it impossible for me to tell which datasource I'm connected to.

@Jetbrains The first issue is being fixed in https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/DBE-25711

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Actually then there are 3 diff issues here.

3. would be: “Further in Project Files bar on the left the colors for diff datasources consoles are completely gone.”
