Authentication Required in AI Chat - Junie
I am no longer able to use Junie with AI Chat as I cannot seem to authenticate. I am able to use Junie through the Junie Pro pane, however, I prefer the flexibility and of AI Chat and the ability to tag file and properties within the prompt.
How can authenticate Junie for AI Chat?

I am experiencing the exact same issue after upgrading to PyCharm 2026.1.1.
Having the same issue today, event updated junie in the ACP registry. This sucks

Same for me. Even a downgrade of PHPStorm to 2026.1 didn't solve the problem.

I have the same issue after the update today, only way to use AI is to move the drop down to Chat. I am using the latest build on IntellJ and latest AI plugin.
Found the solution, install the command line Junie, launch it and login using it, it will install the tokens required to continue to work on the Junie integrated in the IDE.

That does not work on EAP + AI trial subscription. IDE shows license active and 20 tokens left, but Junie says I have no any active license. Tokens should be loaded from Jetbrains AI. Claude Agent integrated with IDE works this way.
Didn't work for me. I can use Junie cli, now, connect to IDE, I can use the Junie plugin, but the AI chat keeps on reporting authentication required if using agent Junie.
Also tried the cli in the terminal of the IDE… so slow… just yping, it can't keep up.
Same here, I was so used to AI Chat, hope they will fix fast.
