Intellij 2017.3.5 doesn't recompile Typescript anymore

I am using Intellij IDEA to develop an Angular application, and it used to recompile itself on changes till today when out of the blue it just doesn't anymore. I didn't change any setting, the recompile on changes setting is checked, but whenever  i modify a file nothing happens. 

Any idea what else i could try?
